She Survived A Tornado To Almost Not Make It Out Of The Wreckage. This Is Her Rescue.

The end of 2015 was rough for much of the middle of the country, where tornadoes ripped across countrysides, destroying homes and taking lives in some places. Rowlett, Texas, was one of those towns where an EF3-rated storm swept through, wrecking Michael Delgado’s home in its path.

Though his brother and grandmother were inside when the tornado hit, they were safely rescued from the rubble after it passed. When cleanup crews came to the scene days later, they heard whimpers and pulled the family’s yellow lab out. He was also alive and well.

It wasn’t until even later and right before they were about to leave the scene that rescuers heard another small cry for help…

Lucy, the family’s miniature pinscher, had survived in between wall studs and made one final cry for help. Thankfully, these brave rescuers saved the day yet again!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by these terrible storms.

Woman Waiting At The Airport Gets A Romantic Musical Surprise From Her Boyfriend.

Lindsey had just returned home from a month-long teaching program in Costa Rica and was waiting patiently at the airport for her boyfriend to come pick her up. Little did she know, he had much more in mind than that.

As she sat there in the arrivals area, she was joined by two strangers. One of them started playing the guitar while the other began singing “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars. At first she had no idea what was going on, but then she started having a few suspicions that her boyfriend might have a hand in this. Her suspicions were correct, and as she stood up to see if she could find him she spotted him all suited-up and carrying flowers, just waiting to welcome her home in the best way.

Now if this is how he picks her up from the airport after being a month away from her, then just imagine what his proposal will look like!

The two musicians were Rico Contreras (vocals) and Luis Mojica (guitarist) from Mariachi Nuevo Estilo A.D.M. in San Antonio, Texas. So if you ever find yourself in the area needing singers for a romantic airport gesture, look them up!

Does Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Dallas, no longer live in Texas?!?

Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Dallas, listed a Dallas efficiency apartment as his permanent residential address when he filed for re-election:

pete sessions address

Last month, Sessions denied allegations that he no longer lives in the 32nd congressional district:

Sessions said in an emailed statement that he still lived in Dallas, though he also spent time in Florida.

“My wife and I are working hard to make our combined families work well,” Sessions said. “With five boys living in four cities and the two of us working in three different cities, it is clearly a balancing act.

That was good enough for Texas Tribune reporter Aman Batheja, who claimed on Twitter that Sessions had “refuted” allegations that he no longer lives in Texas:

Sessions said he lives in Dallas, so it must be true!

Batheja’s reporting was published in the New York Times.

Some people, however, still seem unconvinced:

The video above, published on YouTube yesterday by the White Rock Tea Party, can only reinforce those doubts.

From the video’s description:

Unit #1197 at 8547 Southwestern in The Village Apartments complex appears to be completely empty. Neighbors living closest to Unit #1197 report that no one lives in the apartment, and that it has been empty for years. They have not seen anyone coming or going, to or from the apartment, and have never seen anyone resembling Pete Sessions in the area — ever.

Sessions is being challenged in the GOP primary by Katrina Pierson, a Tea Party activist who was endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin yesterday.

Good Samaritan’s Random Act Of Kindness Feeds And Stuns 88 People.

One customer at a Texas Chick-fil-A took “paying it forward” to a whole new level when the Good Samaritan told staff at the fast food restaurant he wanted to leave a thousand dollars with them to pay for as many customers as that would possibly serve. As it turns out, that was enough to feed the next 88 customers.

This act of kindness completely stunned both staff and customers alike who seemed to really take this nice gesture to heart. The good Samaritan himself didn’t want to be named and only said he wanted to make sure people would enjoy their Monday, as he knew the start of the work week could be tough on a lot of people.

The best part of this whole thing is how the people being interviewed took his kindness to heart, and acknowledged that we all need to be kinder to others around us.

White House: ‘We are prepared to respond to Ebola’

CBS News is reporting that the patient diagnosed with the Ebola virus in Texas moved to Dallas from Liberia just last week.

#dfwnews #Dallas says fire rescue EMS crew that took #Ebola patient to hospital used all safety precautions & is now quarantined. @cbsdfw

— Jack Fink (@cbs11jack) September 30, 2014

The federal government continues to downplay the threat posed by the virus. Unfortunately, the federal government doesn’t have a stellar track record of telling the truth lately and people are skeptical.

URGENT The crew that transported a patient — later diagnosed with Ebola — to the hospital has been isolated.

— CNN Wire (@CNNWire) September 30, 2014

The ambulance crew are being quarantined but the people who were cooped up in a plane with the Ebola patient don’t warrant monitoring?

@CDCgov Yeah, why should we play it safe? You might not cash in if a US outbreak is avoided!

— Kevins Got Wood (@OwlbertPike) September 30, 2014

@CDCgov That's a crap shoot…

— Krafty.Wurker (@KraftyWurker) September 30, 2014

Naturally the White House was on Twitter with “FACTS” because everyone knows whatever the White House says has to be true.
