91-Year-Old Woman Died Protecting Her Cat From A Tornado, And The Cat Survived

John has been a fireman for 34 years. Over the past few decades, he’s seen plenty of destruction, but what he saw after a tornado blew through this neighborhood really broke his heart.

While going through some rubble, he came across the body of a 91-year-old woman whose house had been flattened by the tornado. What shocked him most, however, was what he found in her arms. It was her pet cat, and it was still alive. This woman lost her life protecting her best friend.

That’s so sad. If you don’t believe that pets are like family, you’re clearly mistaken. This woman made the ultimate sacrifice for her companion.

Heartbroken Mama Dog Has An Incredible Reunion With Her Adorable Puppies

When a Good Samaritan came across a lactating pit bull wandering the streets of Christchurch, New Zealand, he knew that he needed to help.

The poor dog was dragging a rope and a heavy padlock behind her. The kind stranger assumed that she’d just given birth and that her puppies were nearby. However, the litter was nowhere to be found and the heartbroken mother dog had to spend the night in the pound, missing her pups like crazy.

The day after, a volunteer of the Christchurch Bull Breed Rescue managed to track down the house that the pit bull came from. The volunteer convinced the homeowner to sign their dogs over to the rescue organization and the very next day, the mother dog — who they named Missy — had the most heartwarming reunion with her babies.

Thank you to the men and women who dedicate their lives to saving animals in need.

If you want to help the Christchurch Bull Breed Rescue save even more sweet little lives, then please consider making a donation.

The Sound That This Tarantula Makes Is Disgustingly Scary

My personal reaction to finding a jar that’s holding a Goliath birdeater spider would to keep that jar closed forever, or maybe throw it into a well.

But tarantulaguy1976 and his wife seem to treat their tarantulas like their own children. Watch his wife interact with their pet Goliath birdeater, affectionately named Zilla. It’s exactly the opposite of how any sane person would act around this kind of spider.

That sound Zilla makes while coming out of her jar will probably haunt me for the rest of my life. It sounds like she’s shaking maracas of doom. According to the YouTube comments, “tarantulas [can] make noise when they move because their pedipalps and fangs are rubbing together.”

…or they just want you to have nightmares for the rest of your life.

This Is What Happens When You Have The Dog Take A Family Photo

Humans love taking pictures of their dogs.

Facebook and Instagram wouldn’t be the same without adorable pups cheesing it up for the camera. But what would happen if our four-legged friends were the ones behind the camera for a change? What would a family photo taken by a dog look like?

That’s what this video entitled “PhoDOGrapher” aims to find out with the help of a toy poodle named Otome, a border collie named Selene, and a miniature dachshund named Falcon — and with the help of their families too, of course!

Those dogs are better photographers than me. I can only imagine the happy memories those portraits will provide to the families involved.

French Bulldogs Can’t Contain Their Excitement When Dad Mentions The Dog Park

One dog owner by the name of Patrick has to be very careful that he doesn’t accidentally say “dog park” around his two adorable Frenchies.

Every time six-year-old Ganon and his two-year-old little brother, Loki, hear those words, they absolutely lose their minds with excitement. To demonstrate, Patrick decided to film them sitting calmly in the car before saying the two magic words.

Prepare to melt, people.

This story wouldn’t be complete without showing you what the pair does when they get to the park every day. (Spoiler alert: It’s adorable.)

It’s easy to tell that Patrick really loves these two little guys. And who could even blame him? Those faces are irresistible.

Watch The Heroic Rescue Of A Dog Stuck For 2 Nights In A 15-Foot Sinkhole

Skye, a seven-year-old golden retriever, seemingly disappeared into thin air when her owner let her off the leash during a snowstorm. After two days of nonstop searching, Skye’s family heard faint barking coming from inside of the Arboretum at Penn State. In that moment, they realized that the poor pup was trapped at the bottom of a 15-foot sinkhole!

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they were greeted by Skye staring back at them. After carefully lowering a ladder, Assistant Chief Dennis Harris made his way down to the terrified dog and hoisted her out. Look at how happy she was to run again!

Even after spending two whole days alone in that dark hole, she didn’t give up hope.

If You Thought Rats Were Incapable Of Looking Precious, You Thought Wrong

Rats are pretty high up there on my list of animals that I’d rather not hang out with.

In my mind, the only thing rats are good for is giving us some comic relief by eating pizza in subway stations. As strong as my opinions on rats are, however, this video might just change my mind. Move over, Pizza Rat. Spaghetti Rat is here to steal your adorable thunder.

If you thought that was cute, wait until you see what this guy and his rodent buddy just did.

was tasked with taking care of a coworker’s pet rat for a week, and while he was unsure of what to think at first, he came to love the little critter! He loved it so much, in fact, that he took to social media to make a case for keeping rats as pets.

Oh man…do I want a pet rat now? I think I do! This guy just changed my mind, which I thought was totally impossible before writing this.

This Dog Knows Who He Should And Should NOT Trust…So Smart!

My dog goes on high alert whenever anyone walks by the front door. Even if it’s someone she knows and loves…she just doesn’t trust anyone until they’re inside and she’s given them a thorough once-over.

It’s great for protection, but it can also be super annoying after awhile.

This dog, on the other hand, knows exactly who to trust — and precisely who he should never trust. Just watch as his dad tells him which treat is from which person…

What a smart pooch! I know my girl would walk straight up to anyone, even the dog catcher, if they had a tasty treat in their hands. She’s not trusting…unless they have food for her.

Two Golden Retrievers Kept Their Owner Alive For Two Days After She Fell.

They say dogs are a man’s best friend, but apparently, they are also our guardian angels.

A Florida woman suffered a near-fatal fall survived the ordeal thanks to her two golden retrievers, Higgins and Dodger. The 76-year-old broke her shoulder and bruised her head when she fell in her kitchen. The woman lives by herself and has Parkinson’s disease, so she could not get up on her own and drifted in and out of consciousness for two days.

As she lay there helplessly for two days, the dogs stayed with her, not having any access to water or food during that time. The two dogs kept her warm, and kept her as comfortable as they could. But according to the woman, the main thing they did for her was to let her know that she was not alone.

The woman was eventually found by a worried friend who had a spare key to the house.

Dogs really are awesome. I’ve heard countless stories of dogs keeping their owners going when they think they just can’t face another day. They are true life savers.
