Her Son Was In A Near-Fatal Car Accident, And What She’s Doing Today Is Truly Inspiring

In 2004, Kellie and her husband AJ welcomed their son Eli into the world. They could not have been happier about starting a family. Home videos show the new mom and dad doting over the sweet boy and expressing their excitement to watch him grow up.

But when Eli was just 14 weeks old, the happy family experienced a tragic car accident that took AJ’s life on impact. Eli was also severely injured, and Kellie feared that she would soon lose everything she loved most. She was told that even if he did survive, it was unlikely that her baby would ever be able to walk, talk, or show emotion. Doctors and medical staff worked tirelessly to help him, and after merely a week, Kellie was able to take her son home.

After 10 years, the grateful mom set out on a mission to find every person who helped save her son’s life and thank them. From the pilots who flew Eli to the hospital, to the doctors who performed life-saving surgeries, she was determined to share her gratitude.

As someone who has also lost a loved one in an automobile accident, seeing that 10-year-old’s happy, healthy, smiling face makes my heart burst. It also makes me so happy to know that the people Kellie reached out to were so thankful for her kind words. Each of those dedicated individuals deserves a lifetime of thanks for all their hard work.

This Guy Wants New Yorkers To Share The Love. And It Works.

Do you remember a time when you may have been sent a love letter? Or even last time you received a handwritten piece of mail from a real person? Probably not. Thanks to email and texting, the amount of genuine person to person mail correspondence has pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur. But Matt Adams over at “Someone You Love” is on a mission to bring it back to life. Take a look and the heartwarming result.

“At one point throughout the day, it got so crowded that there weren’t enough places to sit and people were waiting to take part in our activity. “

Incredible Kids Help Adults Rediscover What It Feels Like To Dream

Have you forgotten what it’s like to be a dreamer?

That’s the important question representatives from Japanese skincare brand SK-II asked a group of women in this poignant advertising campaign. The aim of the ad is to encourage consumers to dream again, to reconnect with their forgotten ambitions, and to look past societal expectations.

The video starts with several women sitting down in what they assume is a one-on-one counseling session. Little do they know, however, that the thought-provoking questions they’re being asked are coming directly from children.

With their innocent and untroubled outlook on life, these kids inspire us to reconnect with our passions. Just remember that no dream is too big. You can make anything happen!

Everything Looked Hopeless When Fire Engulfed This Building, But Then It All Changed

Firefighters from the North Vancouver City Fire Company recently responded to a reported apartment fire on East 2nd Street.

When they hit the scene, they were stunned when they saw smoke and flames billowing out of the building. They knew when they got there that many residents were still trapped inside, and some were even dangling from their balconies. The situation was dire, and sadly, it seemed almost hopeless.

Here’s what they saw when they pulled up.

The fire had moved into the walls and roof of the apartment complex, making it virtually impossible to fight the blaze from the inside.

Firefighters began combatting the flames with all available resources from the exterior of the building, although many feared that it was already too late.

But then one firefighter emerged from the smoke.

If it weren’t for the bravery and heroism of the firefighters from North Vancouver City, things might have turned out far worse for this woman and her dog. Keep up the good work!

She Took A Daily Selfie While Battling Depression. Here Is The result…It’s Truly Inspiring.

Six and a half years ago U.K. film student Rebecca Brown began a selfie-a-day project documenting her life. Brown who is now 21, started the project in 2007 when she was 14 years old. She’s now compiled the roughly 2100 pictures into a video on her Youtube channel. The video documents her battle with depression, anxiety, and an impulse control disorder, a form of OCD, known as trichotillomania. Trichotillomania is a unique disorder that causes a person to pull out their own hair when anxious. Brown says that the project is ongoing and she plans to continue it as long as she can.

H/T: Elite Daily “Beauty is more than what we see with the eyes. People are more than their conditions. I am more than my hair and skin. This only shows my exterior, I hope that people will check out my videos to see more of the girl inside,” said Brown in the comments section of the video. America Can Get Healthier, But Only If Heathy Foods Don't Taste Like Cardboard And Old Pennies

If we’re trying to make America healthier, we should probably approach the problem in a way that might actually work. Everyone generally understands that eating healthier is better, but focusing solely on the general rightness of healthy foods isn’t going to do much.
