Don’t Try This At Home…I Don’t Even Know How He’s Still Alive

If someone says you shouldn’t try something at home, just listen, okay?

Some activities are born from terrible, terrible ideas. That being said, certain people get great joy out of ignoring those warnings.

Like this guy, who decided to light a cigarette with an electrical outlet, because who cares about personal safety? He would rather risk death by electrocution than go out and buy a new lighter. I’ll let you guess where he’s from.

Well, at the very least, I’m impressed that he was actually able to pull it off. Just don’t do this, okay? Please don’t.

I have no faith left in humanity.

Watching This Guy Turn Himself Into Creepy Statues Will Give You Nightmares

Being a horror junkie, I have come across all kinds of terrifying photos and videos.

Though many of them have certainly creeped me out, most haven’t actually gotten under my skin and haunted my dreams. That’s because they weren’t even half as unsettling as this freaky performance.

In his work entitled, “Transfiguration,” French artist Olivier de Sagazan sculpts his face into monstrous statues that look like they came straight out of the “Silent Hill” games. When you see it for yourself, I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say that I definitely wasn’t expecting to come away this disturbed.

The sounds make it so much worse.

Well, I’ll be lucky if I get any sleep after seeing that. Anyone have a night-light I can borrow?

This Video Shows How A Deadly Spider Uses Its Web To Catch Reptiles

When it comes to the world of spiders, there are so many species out there that can cause you a world of pain. One of the freakiest spider species of all, however, is the Australian redback spider. To illustrate just how devious these critters can be, I present to you the following footage.

It was taken last year by Jennifer Fox and her husband as they were packing up to move. When they entered their shed to grab a few things, they saw several western brown snakes caught in the web of a little redback spider.

(via The Daily Mirror)

Well, I’m officially horrified. What’s even crazier is that these snakes are also notoriously dangerous creatures. Nothing is sacred, friends.

This Interview With A Rabies Victim Will Break Your Heart And Make Your Skin Crawl

As we’ve discussed here before, rabies is a disease straight from the bowels of Hell. It affects the body’s central nervous system, and it’s almost always deadly if people do not seek medical treatment immediately. One of the most terrifying things about rabies is that its incubation period is unpredictable. Sometimes you exhibit symptoms in a few days, and other times it can take years before you know you have it. By then, it’s usually too late.

When symptoms express themselves, physicians can do little more than make patients comfortable. The final days are extremely painful. The following interview with a rabies victim nearing the end of his life is heartbreaking and terrifying.

(source: TheFQALL)

If you ever find yourself in the midst of an animal attack, do yourself a favor and consult a physician immediately afterward. When it comes to fighting rabies, every second counts.

One Spider Didn’t Take Too Kindly To This Guy’s Attempts To Capture It

When your house becomes infested with massive spiders, the best course of action is to call a reputable exterminator. The absolute last thing you should try to do is catch them.

That’s a fact of life that YouTuber leokimvideo learned when he tried to catch the giant huntsman spider that wandered into his home during mating season.

All of the nope!

I think I’d just burn my house down and start over. Australia, you never cease to shock and amaze me with your unrivaled creepiness.

These Explorers Found A Makeshift Prison…Complete With An Electric Chair

Urban exploration isn’t a hobby without risks. Those who choose to explore the unknown can expect to encounter a variety of strange situations. Very rarely, however, do they come across homemade electric chairs in the abandoned places they explore.

In the middle of the desert, urban explorer Adamthewoo came across what looked like your average abandoned building. But strangely enough, it was surrounded by barbed wire on all sides. He went in for a closer look, which is when he made the bizarre discovery.

(source: Adamthewoo)

Well, that doesn’t look safe at all. Part of me really wants to know what exactly went on out there, but I know that whatever it was, I probably wouldn’t like it.

These Explorers Caught A Pair Of Evil Glowing Eyes Inside This Abandoned Asylum

By this point, if you find a former mental asylum, you can assume that it’s haunted. It’s really just a matter of how haunted the joint is. Is it plagued by playful ghosts, or overrun with specters of the angrier variety? When it comes to exploring the old Westborough State Hospital in Westborough, Massachusetts, the answers to those questions are respectively “yes” and “the latter.”

That’s at least judging by this video that was posted in December by a pair of urban explorers.

Upon reviewing the tape, they noticed what appeared to be a pair of glowing eyes watching them from the darkness.

(via The Paranormal Blog)

That is terrifyingly compelling. Normally, I would think it’s probably just a reflection. But what makes me think it could be authentic is that these eyes only make one appearance. It’s as if the spirit just wanted to remind the explorers that they definitely weren’t alone.

Alligators Have Learned To Ring Doorbells — Perhaps We Should Be Concerned

There is perhaps no creature that’s more universally feared than the alligator, and that’s especially true in the South, where these reptiles reign supreme. These scary buggers love going where they don’t belong just to prove that they can.

And that urge often brings them into close contact with humans. Earlier this week, a family in South Carolina learned that terrifying lesson when an alligator sauntered right up to their front door and rang the bell.

I know it sounds like the beginning of a terrible children’s movie, but the man who shot this video captured the whole ordeal.

He was quick to point out that the gator just wanted to find its way out of the neighborhood, and that it wasn’t feeling aggressive.

(via Metro)

That being said, if you live near alligators and your doorbell rings when you’re not expecting anyone, you should probably just run and hide. These gators are getting a little too smart for my liking.

This Security Camera Footage Does Look An Awful Lot Like Evidence Of Ghosts

The way that ghosts behave has always intrigued me. Why do they do the things they do? While it’s highly unlikely that we’ll ever get a real answer, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate.

Personally, I think most spirits screw with us for fun. Being dead sounds like a pretty boring gig, after all. If you could, why wouldn’t you spice things up by pranking the living? I know I would. For evidence of such mischievous activities, I present to you the following security camera footage from outside a mosque in Malaysia.

It’s freaky activity, but it’s certainly not evil.

(via Reddit)

Honestly, this seems a little too perfectly staged for my taste. I want to believe, but I need to throw in a healthy dose of skepticism as well. Still, spirits do seem to feel drawn to places of worship, so who knows?

A Symptom Of Rabies Is Hydrophobia… And It’s Way More Terrifying Than You Thought

In most parts of the Western world, you no longer have to worry much about catching rabies. Sure, the virus is still out there, but it’s nowhere near as common as it used to be. Sadly, that’s not the case in other parts of the world.

When humans contract rabies, the disease is devastating and almost always deadly unless immediate action is taken. Among the many symptoms of rabies is a severe aversion to water known as hydrophobia. Those suffering from rabies often experience extreme difficulty swallowing, and they panic when presented with liquids. Watch what happens when this hydrophobic man tries to take a drink.

WARNING: This video is not for the faint of heart.

No one on the Internet knows exactly what happened to the man in this video. Judging by his symptoms, however, the prognosis seems pretty grim.
