Do you remember a time when you may have been sent a love letter? Or even last time you received a handwritten piece of mail from a real person? Probably not. Thanks to email and texting, the amount of genuine person to person mail correspondence has pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur. But Matt Adams over at “Someone You Love” is on a mission to bring it back to life. According to his website, the project aims to “bring New Yorkers together by engaging them in positive activities in the unexpected places.” For the second installment of his three-part series, he asked New Yorkers how long it had been since they wrote someone a letter, then challenged them to change that. Take a look and the heartwarming result.
“At one point throughout the day, it got so crowded that there weren’t enough places to sit and people were waiting to take part in our activity. “
You can check out more random acts of love on Matt’s website…after you write a letter to your mother. And be sure to share the love with friends using the link below!

There are endless treasures to be found in our grandparents’ attics. While digging through these family heirlooms and artifacts, we’re lucky if we come across a few tattered photos from the war, or a chipped teacup from an old collection. Although substantial finds may be few and far between, these relics help us piece together the stories of our lives.
But one man hit the jackpot one day while rummaging through his grandparents’ things. What he discovered sent him on a stunning journey back in time.
He found a perfectly preserved film of his grandparents’ wedding that dates back to 1944.
Although this footage was captured decades ago, the affection shown by these two lovebirds is timeless.

Grandparents are often viewed as the pillars of the family. They’re seen as sage, wizened monuments to everything that younger generations stand for. It’s rare that we get to peek behind the curtain and marvel at who they were before we were born, and now that this man has stepped back in time, he will be able to move forward with a whole new perspective on who he is and where he came from.

Remember that terrifying feeling of being in trouble when you were a kid? That was the scariest thing of all, because letting Mom and Dad down (and getting caught) was completely awful.
But when this little boy gets in trouble, he doesn’t contest it. He just freezes in fear, and it’s super adorable. Even Mom can’t help but giggle!
I hope this boy doesn’t get in trouble too often, otherwise he could be frozen for a long time! That wouldn’t be good for anyone.

If you’ve ever used a virtual-reality headset or watched someone else use one, you probably know that things get real crazy real quick.
I was actually pretty blown away by how immersive the experience was….which caused me to forget that to the outside world, I still looked like a crazy person with a headset on. This grandpa knows a thing or two about that, but he was so caught up in the moment that he truly didn’t give a damn.
He really committed to this experience.
“OUT OF MY WAY, FAMILY.”
Watch his entire campaign against zombies in the video below.
Honestly, the next time I use a virtual-reality headset, I’m going to channel this guy and throw my inhibitions to the wind. Life’s more fun that way.

A pivotal moment at any wedding reception is the father-daughter dance. It’s a deeply touching homage to the love that dads have for their daughters, and it makes people feel emotional almost every time.
But this dad had a surprise for his daughter before they stepped out onto the floor. Not only would they be taking part in an awesome father-daughter dance, but they’d be dancing to a song that he wrote for her. By the time it was over, everyone was in tears.
What a beautiful thing for a dad to do for his little girl. We wish the happy couple well in their marriage, and if they share a love even half as powerful as the bond that exists between the bride and her father, they will be just fine.
