Animal Rescuers Were Shocked When This Stray Dog Walked Up To Them

Our friends at Animal Aid Unlimited have seen just about everything when it comes to stray dogs in desperate need of help — but when this pup, suffering from a life-threatening abscess on his face, ran right up to them during his rescue, they were shocked. His face was so swollen it was about twice the size it normally should be!

After seeing the state the poor dog was in when they first discovered him, you’ll hardly believe that it’s the same pooch at the end.

This sweetheart would have perished if it weren’t for these kind people rushing in and saving him.

If you’d like to help make more amazing rescues like this one possible, please consider donating to Animal Aid Unlimited here. Every dollar helps!

Police Officers Rescue The Unlikeliest Creature From A Dumpster. And Then Adopt Her!

There are plenty of stories about fire fighters and police officers being called to rescue cats stuck in trees, but when officials in Fairfield Township, Ohio, got a call about a potbelly pig that was stuck in a dumpster, they were stunned.

The pig had gotten into the dumpster after two teens got tired of carrying it down a road and decided to take a break. Not wanting their pig to run away, the teens decided to put the animal into a nearby dumpster. They later found out that this probably wasn’t such a great idea. They simply couldn’t get the pig back out and had to call 911. After police and an animal rescue group got it out, the teens admitted that caring for it was too much, and they ultimately gave it up for adoption. Fortunately, a kind police officer gave the pig a loving home.

You should always be very careful about taking in an animal that you might not be able to care for. Sure, potbelly pigs are cute, smart, kind creatures — but they also grow up to be a lot larger than most people realize.

They Saw This Puppy Near A Busy Road, And What Happened Next Melted My Heart

A puppy named Fram was living a dirty, flea-ridden life by the side of a busy road before volunteers from a rescue organization called Howl of a Dog spotted him on a rescue mission one day. The little guy was clearly disoriented and he was venturing too close to traffic, so they had to act fast.

Before disaster could strike, however, he warmed up to the team (and made everyone melt in the process).

Fram is not only a fluffy bundle of joy, but he’s also very smart, playful, and friendly. He loves humans, other dogs, and even cats! He’s six months old and is now living at a rescue center while he waits for his forever family. If you want to help Howl of a Dog continue doing great work, consider donating!

92-Year-Old Woman Has Served Food And Inspiration To Generations Of Students

Ninety-two-year-old Angelina Narcisse has been serving food and inspiration for an incredible 62 years at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. The sweet woman with a heart of gold is everyone’s favorite lunch lady and with good reason. Narcisse never went to school herself, so she can neither read nor write, but she’s a professor when it comes to dishing out sage words of wisdom to her students.

The great-great-great-grandmother raised 10 children, but thousands more have come to know her as “ma” over the decades.

This just goes to show that kindness goes a long way towards inspiring others to become the best versions of themselves.

Wild Dog With Its Head Stuck In A Plastic Jar Receives A Helping Hand

Stray dogs raised on the streets or in the wild quickly learn how to fend for themselves. That often means digging through trash to find even the tiniest scraps of food, and burrowing into piles of garbage for shelter. That desperation to survive can sometimes lead to tragedy.

The good people at Animal Aid Unlimited got a call about a wild dog living next to a trash-filled river that had been spotted with its head stuck in a plastic jar. It took a bit of searching, but eventually, they found the pup walking in the woods. The poor thing was barely able to breathe.

Watching the dog run free at the end put the biggest smile on my face! Due to the extreme number of stray dogs, Animal Aid Unlimited can only bring animals in the most desperate need of help back to their center, which is why they had to let this pup go after rescuing it.

If you’d like to support them, please visit their site and donate! They do truly wonderful work.

Firefighter Goes All Out To Cheer Up One Lonely 6-Year-Old Boy

Six-year-old Cobie Saiz was, by all accounts, having a bad Saturday. The little guy was lonely, as he had just moved to a new neighborhood and felt like he didn’t have any friends. So when he put on his favorite firefighter uniform and went outside to play by himself, he never expected a real firefighter to turn up and pull out all the stops to cheer him up.

Little Cobie will remember this for the rest of his life! What a wonderful gesture by Captain Munoz and the entire fire department.

Teacher Who Hasn’t Had A Birthday Cake In 10 Years Gets A Heartwarming Surprise

Kyle Simpler, a 56-year-old English teacher at Burleson High School in Texas, recently told his students that he couldn’t remember that last time he had a birthday cake. It was a throwaway remark that he didn’t think much of at the time, but it’s one that his students remembered.

Wanting to surprise their beloved teacher, the students decided to throw him one epic surprise party. They pooled together cash to buy him several gifts, but the biggest surprise of all was the birthday cake they got him — his first one in a decade. To make it even more special, they had it topped with a picture of his favorite feline, his pet cat and best friend, Felix.

This just proves that there are a lot of considerate and thoughtful kids out there. Mr. Simpler must be so proud of his students!

They Turned Around For A Dog On The Side Of The Road And Left With A New Best Friend

The Ringstaff family motto is simple. As they say, “We can’t save the world, but we can do something about the one in front of us,” so when the caring crew saw a large dog lying by the side of the road, they immediately turned around to help. They thought that the dog had been hit by a car, but he was actually fine. He was, however, lying next to another dog that had sadly been killed. Based on his body language, they determined that this brave guy was grieving the loss of his friend.

The family couldn’t get the dog into their car, so they went home to get the truck. When they returned, he was still sitting by the side of the road. They called local shelters to try to find out if he had an owner, but when it seemed like nobody was looking for him, they decided to name him Tucker and invite him to be a part of their family.

What a beautiful giant Tucker is! I’m scared to think of what would have happened to this guy if his new family hadn’t come along. Based on this act of kindness, it’s clear that Tucker is now part of the best family ever.
