The Creepy Sounds He Just Recorded In This Old Mine Are Super Unsettling

The Waldeck Mine located in the canyons of Wiluna, Australia, was once a booming gold mine.

The mine was built over 150 years ago, but operations have since ceased, leaving the area abandoned. Although based on video footage from a recent expedition, it sounds like something more demonic than the passage of time might have been the facility’s downfall.

While exploring tunnels and crevices, a man only identified as Frank stops directly in his tracks when he hears some unusual noises. The man inches toward the sounds, thinking out loud about what they could be. As the noise level increases and becomes more alarming, Frank backtracks and decides that whatever is behind this mess, he wants nothing to do with it.

If you ask me, it sounds like tribal chanting in a foreign tongue.

What do you think was the cause of those mysterious sounds? A gust of wind or something a bit more supernatural? Let us know your best guesses.

When This Couple Reviewed Their Dash Cam Footage, They Noticed Something Weird

Dash cams always seem like a waste of money…until I see something that blows my mind and makes me eat my own words.

While leaving a gas station in the Northern Territories of Australia, Paul and Sylvia Mayo’s dash cam spotted a fast-moving UFO that left the two of them baffled — which is interesting, since both of them are professional astrophotographers with over 30 years of experience taking weird pictures of space.

Don’t blink! You might miss it!

Here it is in slow motion.

Some have theorized that the object is just an insect flying close to the windshield, but these two denounce the theory. The object is moving far more quickly than any insect from this planet could.

Could this just be a trick of the light, or did Paul and Sylvia come to face to face with an extraterrestrial fan of their galactic photography?

This Is Why Trucks Carrying Human Waste Should ALWAYS Have Tops

Imagine that you are casually driving down the road. Suddenly, a semi truck nearly slams into you, and spills 27 tons of human waste in the process.

That’s exactly what happened on November 23 in Brisbane, Australia. As the security footage below shows, the semi was not at fault, but that didn’t make the situation any less awful. You’d think that a truck hauling around raw sewage would have a top on it, but that unfortunately was not the case.

The near wreck would have been a minor incident had the spilled sewage not been involved. I can’t help but wonder — how in the hell did they clean it all up?

I feel so bad for whoever was tasked with sanitizing that area. If you have any friends who are bad drivers, be sure to share this with them. Maybe the fear of a raw sewage spill will help them stay alert on the road!

Pint-Sized Surfer Reminds Us That Kids Say The Darndest Things

When I was 11, I pretty much just sat around and read books. Sabre Norris, on the other hand, is entering surfing competitions.

Sabre first became famous at the age of nine when a video of her skateboarding went viral, and now the Australian girl is making waves in professional surfing. She’s one of the youngest people ever to compete in a World Surf League competition after being given a wildcard spot in a qualifying event.

In addition to being incredibly talented, Sabre is also pretty hilarious. Her comments about her dad on the Australian “Today” show are currently blowing up online. The news anchors went bonkers over her take on her father’s weight.

Watch as Sabre jokes about how her dad used to be an athlete. Ouch!

Playful comments aside, her father has a whole lot to be proud of. Good luck out there, Sabre!

Watch These Aussie Construction Workers Accost Women…With Compliments!

The marketing team for Snickers Australia (which presumably sells candy bars that are exactly like Snickers except when you throw them they come back to you) decided to make a fun little take on their “You’re not you when you’re hungry” campaign. They had city construction workers yell to women all the sexy, sexy things they want to do to the current state of gender dynamics.

See the whole video below:

I want to see their boss be like, “Dammit boys, stop empowering women with your supportive words and get back to work!”  If this made your day, give this a share on Facebook!

Nothing Like A Sky Full Of Spiders To Make You Question Everything About Nature

Picture this. You wake up on what seems like regular day. It’s a little cloudy, but that’s no big deal. You put the coffee on and take a stroll outside while it brews. When you get outside, you look up at the sky and notice something on a telephone pole nearby. Much to your horror, it looks like a massive group of spiders hanging out on an immense web.

If this scenario sounds too far-fetched to be real, check out the video below.

If you have even a slight fear of spiders, you might want to skip this one.

(via Reddit)

What we’re seeing here is likely the aftermath of a large flood. When their habitats near the ground are destroyed by water, spiders tend to seek higher ground. Unfortunately for the maintenance worker who had to deal with this situation, these critters started over on a telephone pole.

These Firefighters And Wildlife Workers Go Above And Beyond To Save A Koala.

Apparently, Australians take their koalas very seriously. And who can blame them? The eucalyptus-chomping marsupials are so darn cute. When Melbourne firefighters were alerted to an injured koala stuck in a tree, they didn’t waste a moment coming to its aid.

Nicknamed “Sir Chompsalot” by his rescuers, the fluffy herbivore was able to make a full recovery after receiving CPR and mouth-to-mouth from a Wildlife Victoria employee who joined in on the firefighters’ life saving mission.

That’s right: koala mouth-to-mouth.

He fell from his post high in a tree, luckily landing in the blankets firefighters held on the ground.

After massaging his lungs in an attempt to start his breathing, the wildlife expert took one for the team while waiting for the oxygen mask to arrive.

And lucky for the adorable little guy, it worked!

Check out this video of the full harrowing experience:

(H/T BuzzFeed.)

Sir Chompsalot was then taken to a veterinary facility where he continues his recovery. This woman definitely deserves an award! And maybe a raise.
