At First They Thought This Purple Thing Was Sea Garbage. The Truth Was Way More Amazing.

During an expedition in the Gulf of Mexico, researchers on the Ocean Exploration Trust’s EV Nautilus came across a weird-looking purple thing. At first, they thought it was garbage, but upon further inspection, they were able to determine that it was a siphonophore. Yes, a siphonophore–everyone’s soon-to-be favorite living colony. Take a look!

1. Garbage? That’s no way to talk about a siphonophore.

2. What if they heard you? They’d probably all be so upset.

3. Yes, they. Siphonophores are made up of multiple creatures.

4. Some of them feed while others swim and none of them have to listen to you call them garbage!

Seriously, garbage?  You don’t hear the siphonophore making fun of the organisms the researchers live with. Share this post using the button below.

2 Chickens Saw Rabbits Fighting…So They Stepped In And Broke Things Up!

When you think of bunnies, these cute fluffernutters probably come to mind.

I mean, they’re adorable!

What you might not have expected is how aggressive they can get when they’ve got a bone — or carrot — to pick with one another.

When these particular bunnies were going at it, two chickens were nearby and couldn’t help but overhear the squabble. So they decided to do what any Good chicken Samaritan would do…

I guess animals often have to act as their own police force.

Twittersphere explodes over news of #huggate

http://twitter.com/#!/StevenKays/status/177635923360616448

While the mainstream media is just now picking up this story, the video and news on this topic have been floating around Twitter throughout the day. After an apparent video obtained by the late Andrew Breitbart surfaced up at BuzzFeed, news of why this story is so big began to explode.

The Big Government team explains that it’s the context that matters, and BG’s Joel Pollak and Ben Shapiro emphasized that Obama was endorsing the “Jeremiah Wright of academia.”

But detractors have reduced the matter to a simplistic #huggate brouhaha.

After Michelle Malkin and the team at Breitbart.com appeared on The Hannity Show on Fox News tonight to discuss the significance of what happened, the video went viral and the putdowns spiraled.

Don't worry, folks. Some day we'll get through this and start talking about birth control again.

I thought Santorum was strict with no sex except for procreation but,Hannity will not even let Obama give another man a damn hug! #huggate

The coverup begins: Obama adds a "T" to his "HUG LIFE" tattoo. #HugGate

The real scandal is the way PBS and Buzzfeed digitally removed the teleprompters from the clip. #huggate

I did not have sexual relations with that man, Mr. Bell. #huggate

— Candidate Obama (@CandidateObama) March 8, 2012

BG’s Ben Shapiro writes: “There’s far more coming on Derrick Bell. This is just the beginning. And this video is a smoking gun showing that Barack Obama not only associated with radicals, he was their advocate.”

Rick Perry claims GOP positioned itself to the left of the electorate

http://twitter.com/#!/trscoop/status/312287410841088002

Texas Gov. Rick Perry ripped into the GOP’s last two presidential nominees in his speech at CPAC today. “The popular media narrative is that this country has shifted away from conservative ideals, as evidenced by the last two presidential elections,” Perry said. He followed up with, “That might be true if Republicans had actually nominated conservative candidates in 2008 and 2012.”

Perry supporters on the web ate it up.

Alas, the 2012 election results do not provide much support for his hypothesis.

In battleground states Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, the Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, outperformed relatively conservative GOP Senate candidates.

Even in conservative Texas, Romney performed nearly as well as Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz: Romney carried the state by 16 points, while Sen. Cruz won by 17 points.

We won’t even mention Indiana and Missouri.

Yet Perry implies the Republican Party will prevail if it moves to the right.

Isn’t it pretty to think so?

They Were Filming Guests At A Wedding When They Captured The Cutest Thing Ever

At his daughter’s wedding, an elderly man affectionately called Paw Paw simply couldn’t contain his happiness. It was a special day, and once things got going, he just wanted to dance. That’s when he came upon a little girl — his granddaughter, in fact — and decided to teach her a few moves.

What happened next is too cute. Let’s just say that guests were in for a real treat when these two started cutting a rug.

We may have gotten it all wrong. She was probably the teacher in this situation!
